This is the first song I wrote on the guitar, and I wrote it quite early on in lockdown last year.

Call you up to ask you how you are

Hoping that my words will travel far

Enough to tell you everything you need to hear somehow

Even though I can't be here right now

We will both get out of this alive

But we both need each other to survive

So even though we're far apart and stuck

You're always in my heart, I wish you luck

In everything you do, even if I can't be there

All the time to see you through, you just have to know I care

Sitting here today, wish I could be with you instead

But I'm not there

When all of this is over, you will see

You'll understand how much you mean to me

So even though I'm far from you today
