I wrote this in response to the bombing of the Ariana Grande concert in Manchester.

Compassion and peace, hope, mercy, love,
If a person has these, then they have enough
Religion is based on this common ground
Its core is well-meaning, its philosophies sound

Terror attacks that you see on TV
Are not caused by people like you or like me
They are caused by humans with lack of respect
Who turn from qualities that others expect

No matter how unfortunate some people seem,
They can live off belief, and some self-esteem
Religious or not, when dark days are rough,
If a person is loving, then they have enough.
